Details: I was asked to do this layout with not much inspiration or direction. The only thing the band wanted was a parody of the classic “Chock Full of Nuts” coffee logo somewhere in the layout. 

At the time I had been digging through the Library of Congress’ archive of public domain photos pretty frequently, and stumbled on this striking photo. The original fidelity of the photo is actually impressive, but I added scratches and a blue duotone effect to match the mood of the lyrical and musical content. The label also features the record label’s logo with a neat little pair of boxing mits.
